:lol: It's all good. It does harry's hill twice a day from Pengam station, I am genuinly suprises it wasn't slipping at the top of there each morning. If I could find those other 11 horses mind :? :lol:

Top job tho Phil ;) Impressed you changed the slave cylinders too putting the better one back on rather than the one attached to the box, without me even needing to ask you to. Sign of a good garage 8-)

Definately noticed the difference but haven't been throwing it around corners too much until the front wheel bearing is sorted.

I've noticed more on launch TBH;

With my old box if I did a 4000rpm lanuch (from the s300 2 step limiter) it would slip one wheel and off it went.

With the LSD box in, if I do the same launch I get wheel hop now even with very stiff suspension so there it's trying much harder to put the power down. Will need to drop the limiter down to about 3k and see how it is then...

Also, the M2B4 has an awesome motorway 5th gear :) for a prelude :lol:

if you had your car mapped with the old box will be interesting to see if next time you have it mapped if the whp is closer to the bhp due to this box
I hit the limiter in my h23 vtec still didn't kick in

New Wheels

Post by A1ex » Sun Aug 19, 2012 8:21 pm

With my MOT around the corner and a low on tread right rear I decide to do some ebay shopping, for less than the cost of a new tyre I got these babies;

Image

a good 5-6mm tread on all the tyres, 3 pirelli P7's and 1 Bridgestone RE050A happy days. I did have to dig a load of gravel out of the side of one wheel to get the tyre to seal with the rim properly, the ups and downs of ebay :lol: Think they were on a s2000 that got binned but all wheels are straight and true :)

Anyhow, the wheels were 6 1/2" for the fronts with 205/55/16's and 7 1/2" on the back with 225/50/16's

With the back wheels having 225's on and a 65 offset they rubbed ever so slightly on whichever corner they're on. So, got some 3mm (thinnest I could find) wheel spacers and fitted the wider ones to the front with the skinnier tyres on the back to help get some of the extra horses down. They fill the arches much better than before and I can go straight over speed bumps again instead of 2 wheeling

Quite like the wheels, thought they might be a bit plain but defiantly growing on me.

Well, MOT is done and to bed now thanks to some more work down at tramroad :) along with the 2WS conversion which I bottled on doing myself :lol:

For the MOT it needed a pair of tie rod ends and a new front right wishbone as the ball joint was kaput with 1/2 days labour to get changed. As Ted has already warned;

http://www.ludegeneration.co.uk/chassis ... t3627.html

This was my main difficulty and resulted in a few days waiting for parts to come in :(

Next on the list is these from the good Mr. Dino

as it turns out my rear shocks are seized too :cry: Thankfully Dino has been very good and given me a little finance as the good Mr Mercutio has for my box.

So all in, it's been a rough couple months with the lude blasting my wallet for in excess of £1500. So the first years ownership of this lude has done me for around £6k :shock: through my decisions to upgrade as I replace things. Go to be honest, I have thought about putting it on the heap :? but I'm hoping that'll pass soon
