The fact he was unimpressed with the handling. :D

I went for a test drive & was expecting to be blown away by the handling. But wasn't overly impressed. In fact i suspected/knew the ATTS wasn't working. So upon investigation i found the bulb had been removed. Pulled the codes & tried the reset etc but one code remains, code 61: Left Oil Pressure Sensor.

Booked in on Wed to see if this can be sorted, if not, i have Cebul on standby for a replacement

One way or another, it's getting sorted :D

One observation though: The Prelude is a pretty fine handling machine, even with ATTS not working. My SiR has the LSD & 4WS so was used to great cornering. No wonder a lot of US owners didn't realise they were driving with ATTS malfunctioning

Also noticed the superior straight line performance compared to my SiR auto. And i still have a Powerflow decat to fit, which i am keeping as a treat for once the other bits get sorted

Interior Detail

Post by macky_6 » Wed May 02, 2012 8:55 pm

Lots of things to do to bring my Type-S up to scratch, with the cheapest & easiest to transform being the interior :D

Best thing about the Type-S interior is the seats, which thankfully were in pretty good condition. So a quick rub down with Gliptone leather cleaner & conditioner & they came up looking like new 8-)

Next was to give the carpets a good scrub & vacuum, fit my set of genuine Prelude mats, wipe down all the surfaces with ArmourAll interior spray, wash the windows, trim a couple of loose threads in the stitching, fit a new black suede with red stitching gaitor and matching knob.
Image

Fitted the stereo that i had so much trouble trying to connect to my OEM Satnav on my old SiR, as the Type-S never came with any stereo  Also, removed metres of excess wires/cables/connectors from a previous install. And ran a cable from the rear USB port under the transmission tunnel into my centre console for Iphone tunage :D

Now you see it:

Now you don't ;)

And lastly, removed the tired/dirty/ripped cloth from the speaker covers, gave them a shine, and applied a wee decal to brighten them up. (thanks Ammo!)

So, now it is minted inside 8-)

Just the rest of the car now
