Looking very good.

What's that air intake you've got there? Would like one of those on my 4G

It's a @4thgenphil special

Believe it's 2 ebay intake pipes welded together to take the filter into the space behind the bumper

Adding Some USB Power

With the number of USB powered devices in the car, I wanted something a bit more permanent than a cigarette plug adapter.

I will always have in the car:
Dashcam
Smartphone

And potentially:
Sat nav
Extra charge for OH phone, walkie talkies, etc

So 4 ports were needed (2 permanent).

I purchased the following:
5v USB power regulator - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/301728404410
Project box - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/261168658631
Twin USB lead - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/221903579994

I also bought 3m USB lead for dashcam and 2m USB lead for phone. I also fitted a switch to be able to turn the unit on/off as required, which I had one lying around so didn't need to purchase one.

Fitted the regulator into the project box by cutting a gap into the side of the box, and a small notch for the power cable:

I then cut a hole into the side of the glovebox fascia to mount the twin USB ports, and drilled a hole to mount the switch.

It wasn't the cleanest of cuts, but the angle this is mounted at you can't see from inside the car :) I glued the 2 ports together with superglue to hold them square, then used 2 part Araldite to hold them in place on the fascia. Should be strong enough :D

Dashcam and phone cables were connected direct to the box, and the twin lead run from the glovebox and connected also. This gives the 2 extra ports required for additional items.

Power was run through the switch and connected directly to the cigarette socket power behind the stereo.

Just a quick one tonight.

Thanks to @ubernoobza for providing the panels required for me to return the boot back to original condition. Looks so much neater now :) I know the boot lip trim is missing, it's somewhere in the garage but can't find it at the moment!!
