My fiancee's dad lives near Lake Garda so we drive there and back each summer. The last route I did was down from Scarborough to Exeter because I had to work down there.

Day 1 - Took the early ferry from Poole to Cherbourg, France. Then down to La Rochelle for the night.
Day 2 - We drove to the Millau sky bridge and on to Avignon.
Day 3 - Down to the Col De Turini (Top gear route) 8-) via the French Rivera to in Genova, Italy.
Day 4 - To Lake Garda, Italy.

Back up we wanted to get home so...
Day 1 - Garda to Innsbruck.
Day 2 - (The long day) Through Germany, Holland, and then stayed the night outside Brussels, Belgium.
Day 3 - Brussels to Dunkerque and back up England to Scarborough via Birmingham to pick up my front lip.

Each time we drive we try and do a different route Switzerland is nice but you have to pay road tax to drive through there, the French roads have less traffic than Germany but are expensive and have a speed limit

Let me know what route you plan. :D
Sounds like a decent route, I know of Lake Garda, and I've travelled from Genova to Pisa to Florence before. Not sure what way I'll go yet, my dad's rode a bike from Milan back to the UK before, highly recommended going through the Alps, then through the Black Forest. Sort of a long way round, but good roads/views apparently.

So I thought as I haven't posted for a while I'd post an update.

The car went in to the body shop for a full respray. The body work was poor, some one had keyed all down the passenger side  and with rust appearing everywhere so I thought I'd do it before the winter. It also meant that I could get the motegi kit sprayed the same colour as the rest of the car 8-) . My Dad went down and took some photos of it in progress so I thought I'd post them up.

Cant wait to get it back with the body work in good condition. :D

Cheers for looking. :D

Sprayed and Cleaned

So I got my car back from the body shop. Overall the job they did was good, but there were a few bits I wasn't happy with.

Not good, and worst of all this was missing

So I called the body shop up, they were apologetic, they took the car away fixed it and found the bit that was missing. :D
So now its all good 8-)

I finally managed to get some pics up straight after washing and waxing for a change. Also put my headlight protectors on to have a look what they look like. Going to take them off put the stickers on for Europe and keep them for when I drive across next.

I also got a double din head unit for Christmas, got I fitted but no photos of it yet will post up as soon as I do.

I also had a terrible metallic rattle on the car above about 3000rpm and couldn't locate it I thought it was my exhaust. I removed my resonator box from behind the front bumper, to my surprise the rattle has gone :D and the car sounds a lot better overall

Things still to do before summer is to fit the top hats so I can fit my JDM strut brace. Can anyone tell me how easy it is to do it yourself or is it easier to get a garage to fit them?
