If it helps with the project, then I guess there could be a silver lining, it'd be a shame to see your daily scrapped though, as the shell is pretty much rust free isn't it?

I don't plan on scrapping it :) The long term plan is I don't focus so much on getting the red one that track prep'd bodywork-wise, apart from experimenting with cutting the arches out to fit the new rims (Might not even bother painting it! lol). Instead I'll just focus on the engine build and suspension and braking components. That way it should be back on the road much sooner. Then once the red one is up and running again I can strip the silver one down fully and go to town on it ;-)
