If it is laggy before vtec mate just check your timing! Mine was like that. Turned out the timing was set a 8 degrees!!
It should be 15 standard +-2
Will take you 5 mins to check

the engine does need to flow air buddy that's why the 2.25 exhaust is strangling it as well as the manifold its been proven the dc sports copy manifolds will lose you power over the standard jdm tubular manifold.
so the 70mm throttle body will flow more air but it will be stalled by the manifold.
so who has done the tune ? is the timing correct?

edit someone beat me to the timing lol :lol:

Merlin, timing being slightly out... I thought I'd read a post from you that said it wasn't possible to adjust the timing on 5th gens? (ODB2 yo! I think you put it as, or something like that!)
Have I remembered that wrongly then?

But yes, otherwise that could well explain the problem?
