Some good info replied already.

To save me repeating myself, my tuning write up in my build thread:

Cheers mate I just read through it all but couldn't find anything about having different resistors or alternator?

I think the OBD 1 switch will require 4th gen injectors, injector loom (different connectors) and the resistor box to work properly.

So will the ATR injectors work if I got the injector loom and resistor box off a 4g?

Are ATR OBD 2 (saturated) rather than the peak and hold? If so then I doubt it, but I am no expert.

Oh my days! Why does EVERYTHING have to be sooo complicated! Haha so it'd be easier to just a buy a set of 4g injectors and the rest and change out the ones in the ATR fuel rail? Is it hard to do any of this? Go from a car with saturated injectors to peak & hold?

if you go to peak and hold you need the resister box

??? Who mentioned alternator?

Right this thread is getting confusing now.

I understood your plan was to buy an OBD1 ECU (be it P28, 72, 30, 06, the list goes on to be honest) and a Hondata S300 to enable you to have a tunable ECU to run all your modifications correctly?

If that's the case, why is everyone mentioning changing dizzys and injectors, this isn't an engine swap. All you should need is the conversion harness as this will direct the correct wire for each sensor into the correct location to enable the S300 to be tuned. You can input the injectors settings in the software.

@Lude-dude has an S300 on his modified 5th gen engine - can you confirm this please. :D

So you should just need the Hondata S300 and modified ECU to accept the S300 (£577 - H-Tune), conversion harness (£79 from H-Tune - http://h-tune.co.uk/rywire-obd2a-obd1-e ... rness.html ) and then some cash for someone to tune it (£300-400ish depending on where you go).

Cheers,

Rob
