Ok thanks folks, Rich at PAW had said that to do 270-280 bhp N/A a bigger tb would be required as part of a complete setup so dont think we would be at the limit yet but it's a good point.
I guess if the whole system CAI through was at 70mm then the air would flow in fine otherwise but if there is a pinch point this would cause an issue.

bear in mind if you ditch the FITV you will have to hold the idle yourself on cold start.
not really a problem tho
just fitted the skunk2 68mm, I shouldnt have gone for the billet one as when I got to rich he said they stick sometimes, but its been good so far.

you mean the ATR throttle body?
you could fit the oem throttle body to the ATR mani
but for cold idle wouldnt worry that much

68mm is as big as you want for NA.
A pinch at the TB is good - it causes an increase in air velocity.A1ex wrote:I guess if the whole system CAI through was at 70mm then the air would flow in fine otherwise but if there is a pinch point this would cause an issue.
You don't need an FITV with proper tuning. I've done without one for 2 winters now and I've never needed to use the throttle to start even at minus 8 degrees. The IACV can be tuned to sort it all out.Lude-dude wrote:bear in mind if you ditch the FITV you will have to hold the idle yourself on cold start.
