Hello ,
Sorry if this has been covered already but after a search search on here and google I have not been able to find an answer ?
I'm looking into getting a type s p5p ecu for my h22a8 i only have breathing mods and as the car is daily driven I'm not aiming for loads of power
Around the 220bhp mark is fine with me , but back to the question
Is a type s ecu plug and play on a h22a8 or is there anything else I need to know ?
Also has anyone had one on a Dyno to actually see if it's worth doing or not ?

I asked this question here a while back. Here is the thread you are looking for.

I have just received my typeS p5p ecu from BrokenSpring and will be fitting it next week.

I sold mine to Damon and he put it in his h22a8. It never did much apart from overfuel, spit and generally run rich.

I doubt it is worth doing. I was going to try it myself but never got around to it. IMO save the cash and put it towards a tunable ECU and get the car tuned.

Yes I think that will be my best option I knew an extra 17bhp from a plug and play ecu was prob to good to be true

Back when it was asked last year, the general opinion seemed that it would work on a h22a8 engine seeing as it is identical to the h22a typeS.
I'll let you know how I get on once a use up the last lot of 95ron in the tank and can fit the p5p while using the correct fuel.

Yeah let us all know as I think it would be helpful to people who are thinking about the same option , and to be honest I'm surprised somebody has not already tried the swop and reported back already :)
