AEM or Type S intake?

No, not in the key of C. An H is likely involved though ...

AEM or Type S intake?

Post by M@dds » Sat Mar 16, 2013 7:28 am

Hi all I'm getting my motors engine done soonish up rated cams ported and polished head etc etc, but I'm not too sure to stick with my type s intake with k&n filter or go down the AEM V2 route?

Anyone got any input on the best to have out of the two?

Anyone got either and can compare?

Thanks in advance

I have just bought an a8 intake. From people on here who have them, they love it. The aem is just as good so I've read!

I believe the AEM was designed to compete with the type s intake.

Either route, make sure you take the resonatior box out before you tune it ;)

Depends how far you go with the work. Probably will get restrictive if you're aiming for 270bhp as you'll need a bigger throttle body.

Think it would only be an issue for Merlin & Nafe if he ever finishes building a h22 :poke:

if you already have the type s intake no point in spending more money on the AEM just get the resonator out
