YOKO AD08's Weaponised Rubber.

Post by lewd lude lover » Mon Apr 09, 2012 3:58 pm

Quick review of the AD08 from yokohama.

I got 4 delivered for £480 a last summer.

I have not hit it really hard yet as the car still has a few niggles to tune out but so far i will happily say they are great.

in the dry they feel very solid. the road information passed to the driver is great and they really plant you in a corner. iv not taken them to break away point so i cant comment on the progressive nature of that yet. I am really waiting to get a chance to test them fully

wet performance is better than the parada hands down. iv only given it a blip but coming into a mid left corner at 80 from a hill i put the ancors on and there was no squirrling of the wheels or breakaway. the brakes came in as they should and the car lost momentum. no drama.

so far these, for the money regardless, are the best tyres iv used. they also look the dogs danglies on the car.

the road noise is also really not what you would expect with such a slick pattern. I have no sounddeadening at all and its suprisingly quiet on the motorway.

if your looking for a hooning tyre you could spend a lot more and get a lot less.
Im interested to see which gives out first. me, the tyres or ATTS

James whats wheel size and specs are they and the tyres.

On a side note. Black circles are doing interest free finance on all Yoko tyres until the end of april. So it will cost the same as buying them outright but over a year. Good for me as all my money goes on the engine. Getting mine next week. 215/45/16,

Excellent. Its also a good point i stopped my idea of respraying my lips black last year, right after i resprayed my Type S spoiler black.
Our car will look too similar, but now we can be different.
