Are you certain the bottom end is actually shot as opposed to a pulley/tensioner issue making it sound nasty?

I'm not personally 100% sure, but somebody else diagnosed it on a previous thread, and several other people have confirmed it.

Yes, it still runs fine. But it's impossible to say for how long. Like I say, I would most likely be happy to drive it a few hundred miles.
