Thanks for the info 91. I also thought I'd sourced a good secondhand set here in the U.K., as per your experience, they were extortionate for what they were, they turned out to be rotten, so got a refund. Will try U.S sites as suggested and let you know. GLWTS, by the way.

ek9 Thanks for your interest - Yesterday I shook hands with a 'lude enthusiast who wants to take this on, but he'll have lots to do.

prelude91 I think the rear uppers came from Autopartsway near NY. Took some time to clear US customs, then UK customs charged. But when they arrived they looked the real mcCoy, made in S Korea. Only time will tell if they are any good. From my experience, I would recommend doing something soon once that clanking is heard from the back - when my local guy dismantled the old ones he said they fell apart, even though they had recently passed OK at MOT.

Ah that's a shame (for me). Was holding off until I knew how much I'd have to spend on mine to get it through its mot. Hopefully the new owner will get it back to its former glory :-)
