Too right he got off on the wrong foot
acting like a gentleman's sausage does that. Tempted to plus rep him though, ain't heard the word divvy in time.
Does this mean that this thread can be cleaned up and tucked away then? It can only get worse.
Sorry to hear you're gutted about it Andy, hopefully you'll be back in another Lude soon.

If it does do 130 in 3rd, fair enough but can't see the point in doing so. On a stock map, or the spoon chip, peak power is at about 7000-7200 rpm and after that the power drops off very quickly so you'd probably end up with less power than at 4000 rpm.
Also, engine wear increases exponentially with engine speed, so a lude that's been reguarly taken way past the designed rev limit of 7800 rpm, IMO is a ticking time bomb.
Last thing I'm going to say on the topic, why post up a for sale ad if it's already arranged for the car to leave the country?

Did that car come from Edinburgh/Livingston way at some point??
Also, on the scooby wrx side of things, that's quite possible tbh. My old 2.2 Vti auto used to pull on my brothers old WRX from about 70mph. Was a factory standard WRX with the 240bhp motor. They aren't that quick from rolling starts in standard form and the 4wd saps power. Off the line they hook up well though.

Firstly the onoy reason i reacted they way i did is because you all made claims that it wasnt possible for the ar to do 130 in 3rd and that it wouldnt rev to what it does where as it would appear the car is cappable of both of the above statments......
Secondly the way you all attacked the add saying it was a bad add and that the car had to be a lemon where as i actualfact the car is not a lemon and is a very good example of a lude....
So as per i was proved right by 1 off these forums where everybody knows more about ur car than yourself and for some 1 to state that its not possible and not even have been in the car is completley outrageous i would be ashamed to be part of this club after the way you all jumped on my add and started slatin it.
As glfor the car going to belfast well the bloke lands in brum at 2 oclock the reason i advertised it on here was the sale wasnt a deffo and no flights had been booked at the time of me listing the car....
Hang your heads in shame thought you was here to help and advise clearly not as all you did with me was attack and abuse lol

TBH, attack is overplaying it a little.
I asked you some question and you came back with abuse. It is a poorly written ad and the claim of 236 bhp is absolute tosh!
Incase you forgot how dickish your answers were, this is your first response to my questions;

Seriously, if you come on here with a bad attitute you'll get it back. If you don't make unfounded claims about the cars performance and answer questions without hurling abuse then people probably won't think of you as w@nker

agree that you may be able to lay claim to some of the facts
but ifeel real sorry for the guy buying the lude, if he came on here asking for advice about the claims you have made about the car then we can now tell him that it maybe possible but for gods sake dont do it
he will need to change the map back to something sensible just in case he is tempted to test your claims or kiss goodbye to the engine very soon, but hopefully he may come on here as a nice person asking for information rather than as an asshole gobbing everyone off that disagrees with him.
we like banter on here and it is fun but yo sound the type that would always take that too far
so i for one am gld that you no longer own a lude and we would not have to put up this on probally every post you ever put on here.
