1998 2.2 Manual (Snapped cambelt)

Hi all,

Friend of mine's Lude has unfortunately given up the ghost. Cambelt has snapped but was when changing gear so no load on the engine and not in VTEC and therefore hopefully salvageable.
Needs a bit of work in general, the 4WS doesn't work, needs new discs at the front and the drivers side needs some body work (paint). I believe there is a pretty big amount of bubbling on the drivers side front arch as well as you can see in the pictures.

The car itself is a 1998 H22A5 manual in silver, not sure on mileage, I can find out if anyone is interested.

He thinks the scrap man would give him about £75 for it so if anyone can match that they're welcome to it.

I would love to have it myself as a project but I don't have the space to stash it whilst I work on it and it'd be a shame to see another Lude off the road so he's said if I know anyone who wants it for £75 they're welcome to it. Car is based in Torquay so will need collecting from there.

Sorry mate didn't see your reply. Yes it does, MOT expires 16 October.

Bump as this is still around and will be going to Lude heaven soon :(

Absolute bargain.
Cambelts change would get it back on the road (non interference engines when not in vtec).

Afraid not matey.

Car has been sold to a mate of his who is taking it on as a project, means he can keep an eye on it!

I thought so, we seem to have had a few cambelt failures around here recently and all seem to have gotten lucky!
