Hi
As per the title, my 4g 2.2 is for sale. Rather than duplicate the eBay listing, it's on there so you can see the pictures and information. It's for sale at £4k, I'm only selling to finish the 5g.
Regards

The 5g, which to be honest wasn't as described when I bought it, needs a good chunk spending on it and so I reluctantly decided to sell the finished 4g to finish the 5g before the nicer weather arrives.
I don't want to do it, and I know that's a cliche, but I know I'm not going to find another one like mine.

anything particular that makes you want to fix the 5g over selling the 4g?

Yeah, the bodywork looked great in the pictures but it needs remedying on almost every panel; even though it's mechanically 100%, people judge on appearance so I think it'll be £1k to get it perfect.
The 4g does 1000 miles a year, if that, and so it just seems a shame for it to be sat idle 99% of the time.

My old car
Although it has changed a lot since I had it and likely worth every penny of the asking price.

It had missed on the basic maintenance you'd normally do with a classic car, I caught all of that up and then some so that it was as good as it could be. Jobs like the AC were quite big, but well worth it, as was the 4ws, and although I'll never get back what I've spent on it I can at least say it's about as good as it could possibly be.

I sold it in 2015 so almost 5 years ago now. The air con and 4ws worked when I sold it so I can't be blamed for those things

It was also serviced by Performance Autoworks during my ownership

Cars of a certain age need to be fettled all of the time, I think some people feel it's a case of "service it once a year, it'll be fine", and sadly that's not the case; only takes a year or two and it'll begin to suffer, the one owner will sell it on with issues to another, the new owner will add some more issues and then do the same again. It came from someone in the West Country, via a "trader", and I think the trader neglected it and punted it on when the 4ws stopped working.
I'm selling my Mk1 TT Roadster, same applied with neglect, and bizarrely the work completed on both cars was almost identical! It doesn't help being anal about things, like the cup holder button, as I'll bet I have £500 in bits that 90% of people wouldn't notice....

The guy that bought it from me was from Wales and was a member on here. I don't know what happened to it after that. Even back then though, it was a good car, the interior was immaculate and the body was very good.
