Hello forum,

I have been give;n the task of selling my Dad's Honda Prelude 2.2 Motegi, as he has recently decided to buy a new car after having his Prelude for about 10 years. He is looking for £2200 for it.

https://skydrive.live.com/redir?resid=2 ... GAEr4u5Xdo

I will try and list the good and bad points about the car, but don't have all the information on me right now, so will update this as I go.

Spec:
- Honda Prelude 2.2 Motegi, manual, 4 wheel steering
- Only 2 owners, my Dad has had it since Oct 99!
- Registered Jan 1999
- MOT Nov 2013
- Tax 1st April 2013
- 122k miles
- Full Honda Service History

Good points:
- Recently had both rear calipers replaced due to sticking
- All 4 wheels have just been refurbished
- Very clean inside and out

Bad points:
- The aircon is broken
- There are a few dents (of which I can get pictures)

I will update this post with more information and pictures asap, but as a first stab, I thought I would put this up now, in advance of the weekend.

Open to thoughts and comments...

Might wanna get the air con regassed and paintless dent repairers in, if you're that optimistic with the price.

It looks tidy in the (one) photo, so might make an excellent buy.

Thanks for the response guys.

Will definitely get some more pictures up this weekend, along with more information.

If you think the price is optimistic, are you able to suggest an unbiased price for a Prelude like this these days??

A friend of mine picked a motegi up 2 weeks ago from ebay. It's R reg, lady owner, has mint blue bodywork, all original, about 140K miles, uses a little water so has a minor leak. FSH, UK model. He paid £750.

Wow, ok, thanks for the feedback - looks like it's slightly on the high side then ;)

Will look at revising it...

IMO it depends if its a manual or auto, H22a5 or H22a8. The 99+ H22a8's go for a tiny bit more. A low milage 99+ 2.2 manual in good condition could scrape £2,000. But Auto's much less. Any car with dents I would put quite low like what tramroadmotors says.

Bought my manual 99 for less than half that with 106k miles, FSH (all Honda except for 1 year), everything working, no rust (at the time), fairly decent bodywork. Just to give you something to relate to when adjusting your price ;) GLWTS.
