98 Honda Prelude 2.2vti, manual

Post by Sam1990 » Thu Jan 03, 2013 3:44 pm

101k Miles
MOT Oct 2013 - Passed with no advisories
Tax Jan 13
3 previous owners
£1000

For sale is my '98 2.2VTI Manual Honda Prelude, I have owned the car for 2 years and in that time it has been totally reliable and a pleasure to drive. My reason for sale is a new car purchase, a Toyota MR2 turbo, which has always been a childhood hero of mine.

In the time I've owned the car I have kept it standard apart from a BlueFlame stainless steel cat-back exhaust, this was purchased as a replacement when the original exhaust gave up the ghost, lifetime guaranteed. In the time I have owned the car I have replaced a number of parts due to age:

Cambelt - 88k miles August 2011
Distributor cap
Rotor arm
O2 sensor
2 front tyres - October 2012
Rear bumper resprayed due to fade - April 2012

The exterior of the car is in very good condition, there are a few small car park dings and a very small patch of rust appearing under the driver's side arch, otherwise as seen in the pictures it looks great for its age.

Unfortunately the interior isn't as great, the drivers seat is showing signs of wear due to lack of upkeep from previous owners, I have attempted to condition the leather many times but it cannot be brought back to it's former glory. There are no rips or tears and the rear seats are in good condition. There are no other marks in the interior.

The car is fitted with a Tachtam Cat 2 alarm and immobiliser (certificate included). I have also installed a Ripspeed CD and DVD player with 7" folding screen. The rest of the ICE is standard. The air con works brilliantly, a pleasure in the summer. All windows and sunroof work as they should. The 4 wheel steering works fine too, has never given me any trouble. According to the history the 4WS light has been on once, only to be cleared by a reset.

There is plenty of history with the car to back up mileage and work carried out, I have 3 keys for the car and the red key as seen in the pictures as well as all service books and handbooks.

This really is a great car with many many more miles of great driving left in it and I hope the next owners enjoys it as much as I have. If you have any further questions please feel free to phone.

I work Mon-Fri 9-17:30 as well as Weds and Fri 6-22:30 but will be free for viewings any other times. I am based in Northampton

Bump

No replies? Perhaps some feedback on the price / ad? Very solid car for what I thought was the lower end of the price scale for a quick sale.

Really nice looking motor man, will ping this thread at anyone I can think of in the market ;-)
