Hondata test

Post by M@dds » Sat Mar 16, 2013 9:16 pm

Hello all I attacked my p28 with my soldering iron to install the hondata s300 I've tested for conductivity seems ok but how do I do a realistic test without buggering anything up?

I was thinking about plugging it into the car without actually starting it and then plugging the laptop into it and see if its picked up at all

I'm not sure this will work or even be a valid way if testing it :/ I'm sure you knowledgeable lot will have the answer........or at least I hope someone does :s lol

I don't fancy getting it all over to good ole rich for for him to say my hondata or p28 is about as much use a spoon in a gun fight

Hey bud,

If you've tested continuity on the items soldered in as per the instructions, then next thing is to plug it in and turn the ignition on. It runs off the ECU power, so only option that I know off.

Doesn't really help your worries but can't think how else you'd check. Do you want to borrow mine to check? :P
