I'll try that tomorrow.....BMCC wrote:5th Gen manual says 700 rpm +/- 50 rpm. It is always difficult to read the the counter though. Sometimes mine looks like it is 550 rpm other times it looks like it is about 750 rpm. What happens if you give the car a small amount of throttle. Does the RPM settle to a higher rate or does it go all the way to about 0 then bounce back up?
Congratulations to vtecmec for winning May/June's Lude Of The Month, with his DIY Turbo BB1 build.

i think you have a common lude problem, most will @ some point suffer from low (bouncing) idle, mine had this a couple of years ago. it just cleared by itself, usual cause is a blocked pipe on some valve somwhere (is it ivac or something like that). mine would do this in trafic, sounded like it was going to stall but never did. im sure others on here will know as it has affected most of us at some point or at least been part of a thread covering this issue

eeerrr not entirly, std car you see. i keep telling you folks about fitting aftermarket so called performance mods, as i say - horse power is an expensive game. i must say though that my lude IS THE most reliable car i have ever owned, and it seems to repair itself on a regular basis
std car right down to the anoying bleeps (chimes) even has the rear shock knock
and i found a jap coin down the back seat.
