Hi folks,
I'm trying to change my water pump and timing belt currently, but I'm having a nightmare getting the crank pulley off

I don't have the Honda tool, but seeing as my engine isn't in a car I don't think it'd be much use anyway, as there'd be nothing to secure it on. I've tried used a Volkswagen tool I had lying around which can grip the pulley no problem but without anything to secure it to it's useless... I even jammed it against a spare engine mount, but that just resulted in the tool lifting the engine in the air

so are there any quick fixes out there that anyone knows of? Or I'm just going to have to fork out £20 for a tool I'll use once, and get somebody really strong to hold on to it lol
Cheers,
Josh
