Sure I've got some in the garage, I can also check for you tomorrow if semicolon forgets. It has to be rubber fuel hoses, not just any hose (due to the pressure). Motor factors sell it usually by the meter, think I laid £5 for mine and had it on for a few years no probs until my car was wrttien off.

Where do these lines perish? I might have a look at the 5th gen shell I have still as that's a very late import so may still have good lines on it.

Behind the passenger side rear wheel, there's a plastic cover. Remove the cover and there's 2 fuel lines, around 8" of them are uncoated and just bare metal. That's where they are prone to rusting.

That's exactly where it happened on my car. I wonder if the hose with jubilee clips would pass an mot if the cover hadn't been put back on

I replaced a 6 inch section of one of those fuel lines about 4 years ago with hose & clips. Never had a problem with it, though I notice today that the clips look a touch on the rusty side now. That plastic cover is a bollock for hiding things.
