Sometimes it started from cold fine once warm dies but not ask the time.Gayno wrote:Interesting. However if this was the case wouldn't it do this from cold? The car will start and rev fine when cold, it's just after its warned up that this starts. It will continue to idle absolutely fine.RattyMcClelland wrote:Mine did shockingly similar when I installed a utter gash HRC updated fuel pump.
Turned out the fuel pump had a plastic tube that collapsed and won't release fuel quick enough.
A walbro pump solved that with a metal tube.
Of course this might not be your problem. But worth a mention incase your pump if failing.
Congratulations to vtecmec for winning May/June's Lude Of The Month, with his DIY Turbo BB1 build.

Mine does it too after being stood a while. I sprayed some brake cleaner in my distributor cap once if anyone can recall. That cured it. Well the fact I had to replace the cap because the old one exploded might have had something to do with it.
Damp cap.

Just been out for a blast to my local (8 miles away) Shell for some V-Power. Drove relatively gently on the way there and then filled up with the good stuff.
On leaving the garage, foot flat down coughed and spluttered through the rev range. Drove like a hoon most the way back and by the time I was home it seems to have gone. Will let the car sit and try again in a few days, but perhaps it just needed some fresh juice and the cobwebs blowing out?!?!
