My SPA gauge records peaks, and over the weekend I had a maximum oil pressure of 110psi at some point.
I set the alarm on my gauge to go off when below 20psi, which it never does.

Oh, when cold I think its about 80-90psi @idle
You've got me worried now...30psi at idle is a very good reading for hot temperatures and 80psi at 3000 is massive...mine is never more than 70-80psi ever. My warm idle is set about 900rpm and I only get 16-18psi even then.

I've watched dynos of honda motors on youtube where oil temps/pressures are displayed and most are circa 68psi when hot. I thought the oil filter had a pressure bypass at 70-80psi as well...

There is a PRV on the oil pump, this is what seized open on mine previously duming the oil pressure.

It's very dependant on oil visocsity, PAW suggested when the gauge was installed that it should be circa 15psi on hot idle and around 40-50psi at 2500rpm with cold idle being anything between 70-90psi and is dependant on oil grade.

The numbers your having are what I had before the last oil change and running low.

Tim, but your pressures are still very healthy going by Honda's figures.

Richy @PAW did comment on how good my oil pressure was. A couple of things worth mentioning, I have the balance shaft removal kit fitted. I'm running 10-50W comp oil (higher phosphorus for cam/rocker protection). Maybe these make a difference.
