open diff drive wheel?

Post by A1ex » Wed Aug 01, 2012 9:08 pm

Does anyone know which wheel is the dominant wheel when you have a open diff on the h22?

My from right wheel bearing is deaded so wondering if it's linked to the extra power she's putting out :?

OK, so I'm being blonde and a bit lazy apparently

Did some google snooping and some thinking (blame the alcohol) and it's more the fact that if a wheel slips the rest of the power takes the path of least resistance - the spinning wheel rather than there being a main wheel.

:D

Wouldn't just be fair wear & tear would it?

'Ludes corner at stupid speeds, and it looks like you've got reduced-offset wheels, which wear bearings quicker.

Yeah your probably right with regards to wear and tear, but would have thought the front left would go before the right which is why I tought it could be a drive issue.

BTW, the offset is +48 so almost the same ;)

The accords were 50 offset. But yeah your right, those extra horses and stiff suspension are going to be making life difficult for the poor bugger

Hey-ho, will just have to take it to PAW for some polybushing. shame :?

+55 at 7 X 17 on Motegis; any more than 2-3mm is getting to be a difference!

I'd have thought the left would have gone first too, but one just cannot tell.
