Sorry for bumping an old thread but I'd like to share my experience with you. Namely, my MAIN problem were not the gaskets, nor the idle tuning. In my case it was an unbelievably wrong valve adjustment! Two of the four cylinders' intake valves were over-winded with approximately 1 1/2 revolution! This caused awful problems with the idle, the fuel consumption, the acceleration and the overall work of the engine.
This was half an year ago and I can definitely suggest everyone to double check his vavle adjustments when having problems with the idle!
