Re: Clutch change and now issues
Vanzep, originally it would have had the h22a but someone has changed the engine. Apparently this one has had a rebuild done to it and the rev limit is 8400 rpm so I'm presuming someone has played with the ecu. This is my second lude and the first one was also a jap import with the proper h22a in it but wasn't as fast. But also was standard apart from induction kit. This 1 is a decat and manifold has been done with induction so that's why it is possibly faster? But apparently engine has been rebuilt but got no proof. Engine looks like it has had work done. I'm going to get a dyno and if it's the same bhp as standard then going to get a h22a lump and put it back in and sell this engine that's in it right now.

Your engine code should be stamped on a little square on the front of the block, near the gearbox. If it says H22A then it's the same as before. Also, there's a common chip which can be fitted to the ECU, raised rev limit and lowering VTEC engagement, so it sounds like this might be what you have.
