I was in the 153 club on our last dyno due to disti timing being miles out (everyone got low readings that day  )
timing has be done its a different car :)
it was the poor dyno result that made me look at the timing side of things in a bit more detail and @Merlin helped me set mine :)
the way i see it yhe dyno run was a good thing and worth the cost ;)

Yeah really this fills me with hope lol. I can't believe I've not seen the red mark. I only seen the white hence why I used it lol. I guess that is the BDC mark then

Glad it gives you hope :)
Im sure white timing mark is TDC and red timing mark is 15 degrees advance - you should look to set it around the red mark plus or minus two degrees.
Like @Merlin said - you should also be able to hear when its set correctly as there will be a slight change in engine note

Well had a look at this again tonight. I don't know! :troll: I can't see any red mark in fact the only thing I can see is a white mark. It's a mark scrubbed into the flywheel with a white so lodge on it.

I was moving the dizzy back and forth to see if I could hear this change in tone. When I pretty much turned the dizzy as much as it would go to the firewall (advanced) it did change, it got slightly faster, and my ticking was more noticeable.

Everything's been chucked and beer opened. Guess I will have to take the wheel off and everything now just to turn it over by hand to try and find a red mark and the degrees marks
