All three are linked, I'll put money that it's the alternator that needs replacing/repairing. Forget looking at the CAT sensor until you've fixed the battery warning light.

Check the alternator and it's okay. The cat light came on at the same time as the battery light.

As Vtecmec points to this is classic symptoms of the alternator giving up.

People don't realise that it's a very depressing time of the year for alternators, what with all the cold and wet and hopelessness :(

The alternator was replaced recently with one off a donor car and its pushing out over 14 volts at the battery. The car has not used a lot in the last year & half has been sorn.

My alternator was pushing out 14v too, but the rectifier was faulty and resultantly it was leaking AC power, which is why the battery light was on.
