FWIW, I have the diff from a U2Q7 in my original M2F5 (?) UKDM gearbox.
I went for this as I like the ratio of the original box and knew I was going the route of a little more power/lower VTEC crossover etc. anyway.
I think it's a great combo - not noticeable during normal driving as you'd expect, but caught me out slightly when I first got it back as it really will dig in very well around corners.
Personally, I wouldn't want anything more aggressive for a daily, but each to their own.

If cash isn't a huge issue I would just get a new Quaife diff. I paid £200 for a gearbox builders to install my Kaaz diff and final drive.CARRisma wrote:Question to those who have had U2Q7 gearbox from an ATR fitted to their Prelude, or just the LSD unit fitted in the gearbox - what is your opinion of it? Do you recommend having it done? How much of a difference does it make?

Well...... I'm going for it.
I'm getting the U2Q7 diff fitted in my M2P4 'box. In effect, it will be a U2Q7 'box as the ratios are identical.
Diffs are a new thing to me so I know very little about them. I know there are different types of LSD, viscous being one of them. Just so I know, what one am I getting?
