I am pretty sure it is. If those bolts are effected, depending the exact ones, it could mean that the rear of the engine/gearbox is not getting the full support it needs :?

Got any pics? Off one attached. Hopefully not damaged the block. Don't fancy buying engine and box.

I don't have one to hand but you can see it in this pic, the big black thing next to the VSS. That is what bolts into those holes.

Is it part of the rear engine L mount bracket of an extra part bolted on?

From what I can remember the rear L bracket solely bolts onto the gearbox casing

Yea your right. Either never been fitted right or I could be to blame for this one. I fitted an es bushed front mount and never did rear. I have it just never got round to it. Could it be it needed to rock forward, fronts stopped it but rears kept going being the weaker mount this ripping the cast alloy?

Yea could be right. I'll check L bracket and mount tomorrow see if other bolts all there.

Been thinking about this and sure I've worked it out, either not bolted right like you said OR theres been that much stress on the standard rear mount and gearbox mount v the engine mount and the front ES mount.

My reason for this is gearbox/rear mount are attached to the gearbox, the other two to the block, the two on the block have stopped the block going any further forward/back/up/downetc but the gearbox/rear mount have allowed further movement of the gearbox, putting strain on the bolts holding it to the block, that corner is the week spot if I've worked it out right.

Basically if you have a bad rear mount get it replaced or ES bushed. Even more so if you have only the front ES bushed.

Basically its been my fault
