Yeah lash / proper meshing was the reason why we did not do it ourselves.

Out of interest can you take a few pics of the diff?

I have an m2v5 mated to my h22a, it sits around 3400 rpm at 70 (gps speed not speedo). Feels nicely ratio'd and I can stay in vtec through the gears with a 5k vtec crossover.

The thing I liked about the M2V5 when I had my first Lude was 70mph down changes into 3rd. I cant do that anymore.

I'm sure the diff bolts are a left hand thread, i use an impact gun to remove em

They are but I don't have the tools to check lash etc. I'll just get it built by someone to save the hassle. Far beyond what I can do or have tools for.

Going back to this. The m2a4/b4 is showing as

M2A4 - 3.307 - 1.950 - 1.360 - 1.034 - 0.787 - 4.266
M2A4 - 3.307 - 1.950 - 1.360 - 1.071 - 0.787 - 4.266

m2f5 is this
M2F5 - 3.307 - 1.950 - 1.360 - 1.071 - 0.870 - 4.062

This is based on our own wiki and other threads, whats the correct 4th for the a4/b4

What difference will it make? Are you combining the gears from two boxes?

Been trying to work out differences with the final drive on the m2f5. 1.071 is obviously shorter than 1.034? If the a4/b4 was 1.034 then it's would accelerate slower yes?

Yes that is correct. lower the number, slower the acceleration.

OK cheers. Top speed = way down (not that you ever get that far anyway) 4th maybe and 5th defo going to accelerate harder. Kind of looking forward to this now.
