Fitv adjustment?

Sorry re read this. Yes turn the fitv plunger to adjust it. Somehow I thought you were on about the base idle screw :facepalm:

Will take it apart again, re-clean and adjust it somewhat. if no different then i guess i will have to replace it.

screw it right down as far as it goes then back it off about 1 full turn
id also check the hose that goes to the fitv as they can get pin holes in them that only show under pressure - very difficult to spot - it does cause idle issues
