BB4 keeps cutting out

Check to see if you have a hole in the exhaust before the O2 sensor.

okay I ll avoid turning any screws.I ll go get some more carb cleaner and I ll check the exhaust too merlin.am sure the exhaust is fine though.would the oil leak I used to have effect the o2 sensor? it used to run down the back of the block and onto that part of the exhaust.

So I am looking more into the 02 sensor now.seems to have a few symptom's my car is suffering from.loss of power,hesitation when accelerating and cutting how.it would sound about right aswell cause its only when driving for around 5 mins when I get the problem and that's when the 02 sensor comes into play.I am getting a engine management light on my dash at high revs aswell so I should really just go to a garage and they will diagnose it.fingers crossed I can finally find the problem and get the car running better.

if anybody has an 02 sensor lying around give me a shout

so I would count the flashes and then for example it flashed 3 times would it be code number 3?

Short flashes mean 1
Long flashes mean 10

removed and cleaned the 02 sensor the other day and it seems like that's the problem solved.its not cutting out and the revs are not dropping.the power is back aswell so hopefully that's all it was
