the thing is the engine pulls really really well. i know its running 'about' right because i won every race against a red top A8 on the weekend and 2/3 against a 4th gen.

it did a 15.1 at the pod with a 35mph headwind a few weeks ago  so its not on its last legs or anything but.... it seems odd that it would pull hard yet be that loose on the ring piece :?
6th gen Prelude please Mr Honda. RWD 2.4 turbo lude.

ok cheers guys, i will call a backstreet tomorrow to get this checked.

oil has just been changed from 0wsomething mobil fully synthetic to cheap ass halfords 10w40 and carlube 10w40.

this will be run for a short time and then i have 5l of Gulf 10w40 competition.

it seems to eat about 2l per1000 miles? maybe a little more. the mobile is/was maybe a bit thin though??

if it keeps eating it at that rate i will just keep with the cheap stuff and keep it topped up.

since changing the oil and putting all manner of chemical additives through the whole thing it is less smokey but the oil pressure is maybe not as stable with the cheap stuff??

i run 10w40 always, does eat some oil but no more than anyone elses lude,

only smoke i get is like a blackish plume when hitting vtec, just notice it in the rear view mirror.

im guessing as its not blue smoke, then its the result of carbon build up??

I prefer Fuzzylumpkins...

James just to note.
Iv done nearly 800miles in the Type S now with alot of hard driving. I though id check the oil when cold. Checked and its still on the max level. Not one drop burnt.
Thats Gulf Comp 10w40. Trust me the engine runs smooooooooooooooth.
