I think you might notice a difference when you nail it buddy. it will rev easier uptoward redline but you have to be having it.

pop in a K&N panel filter for the main combined difference. more noise and deffo a free'r feeling engine.

I have never and will never spend money based upon unknown test in an unknown situation but .36 bhp will just as easily be .43 the other way three hours later when the air pressure drops :?

you should really have tuning after fitting the AEM v2

its also probably works better with bigger TB, portmatched, exhaust or general where more air is needed

its also dual chamber, you can hear the air moving around inside

I just dont get all this hype about induction kits, the air amount can not be changed because the engine will only draw x ammount on its natural cycle, if you have a good filter you may notice a difference but only a tiny one. A jobby filter will choke it. As long as you have a good filter pointing at some fresh air away from heat things should be dandy. The gains are too low and inconclusive for me to give a jobby about spending silly money on an induction kit for a road car.

There is a lot to be said for the ebay cheapy ones, they polish up well and they sound fooking great, better than stock one.

This is an age old topic and always has the same outcome. I will stick to my cheap stuff. My ludes have always performed very well with them, infact I will try and get a dyno done this year with a stock one and an ebay one just for fun at the pod this year.

But get massive heat soak from the cheapo alloy pipe, plus if it isnt a CAI I wouldnt touch one. I have the long arm version of the Ebay to go in my 4th gen but with an Apexi filter and heat wrapped piping.

Personally I wouldnt bother swaping the H22a8/Type-S intake for a V2.

I ran my track 4th gen for a couple of years with the standard intake and resonator removed.

I remember KFC from the puking days he dyno'd 222.5 hp with the arm v2 over stock.
But then not all dunks are accurate.

I won't swap my Type S intake for anything unless a supercharger magically appeared.

FWIW, I have the standard intake, with the resonator removed on my setup.
It was only removed when I had the engine work done though.
