100mph in 3rd?

Im not sure as I have no way of know what RPM it is after 8K, its goes off the clock. I didn't want to push it too far

Edit - Im not sure if there are any differences between a Spoon mapped chip and an authetic Spoon ECU (which my one is).

its been 16 months since i ragged an S but i seem to remember being very suprised that it would go that fast in second. maybe 70? deffo able to break all speed limits in second is as i remember it.
thats on 17's with 215/45 on them.

:matt:stk its an general agreement between car producers and governments that the speedo is a little rich. about 2-3% apparently. this is to cut road deaths by X amount per decade etc.... gives you a feeling of fast yet stopping distance is less. so i have heard from the font that is internet

Not sure if this helps but in my 5G, around 100mph in 5th gear is when VTEC comes in... so I doubt I'd get 100 in 3rd.

I got 68mph out of 2nd gear in my S IIRC and that was redline material.

m2b4 lsd box with std wheels @8000rpm 101mph with a fd of 4.062 or 96mph with the 4.266 fd, so yeh its possible

but if you have the h22a8 like sugested then no (87mph) unless you have changed the wheel size

yes i have the same manual, but it assumes you shift before the red

supose also we cant condone this either unless you are jay jay or somewhere else where you could drive at 100mph in 3rd

, my auto does over this, though i do only have 4 gears (that manual states 99mph for the auto)

Quite easily got over 60mph in 2nd, I can't see any problem with 100mph in 3rd. If the fog has gone tonight I'll check it out

I'll need to get my GPS in the car to get a proper reading though.
