Over heating issues?

Try taking the thermostat out. If that makes a difference, you know what to do next!

The H22 does run quite hot and belts out a load of heat. Sounds normal to me.

I'd go for a better intake. Those alloy pipes suck up heat and the filter will no doubt be pants.

Hi yeah i dont have that system on my current one that was on the 2.0 i had. i mentioned it incase that was helping the 2.0 run ALOT cooler.

So as a guide if im buying new how much should i look to spend on an air intake and a half decent exhaust ( not too loud and defo no 5" tailpipe ) .

Thanks for the info im off this weekend so i think i will take the thermostat out and see what happens. Just gotta figure out where it is now. Lol Got a manual and service book so should be able to make a start hopefully also think ill service it myself but as its the first time ive done this does anyone have any suggestions on what i should be able to do and what i should leave to the garage?

the thermostat is gearbox side just behind the dizzy
