There are two sizes available. Call euro parts and they will offer you two. Don't know the part number but its the bigger one. Trust me I got the smaller cheaper one and it was wrong. Off the top of my head its around £35. It's so easy to fit. Where are you based?

Don't knock it!
If you've only checked the coolant when it's supposed to be cool, you won't know if the info to the temperature gauge is right.
It's happened before ...
not knocking it dont know what it is lol
To be honest, I don't know what its proper name is, but I meant the thermal thingy that tells the temperature gauge what to display.

I'm doing a track day at the end of this month at Bedford auto drome if my car is allowed on the track. Might be a issue with the decibel test.
If you want to come over we can see what's wrong with your engine? Or if you take the advise and get the thermostat ill show you how to fit it.

If the air coming out of the blower is red hot but the gauge is not moving much then I would say the problem is with the gauge sender rather than the thermostat as the stat would have to open to allow hot coolant into the heater matrix AFAIK. So what sailor say sounds right to me. Download the manual that is on this site and have a look to see where the temp gauge sender unit is located on the 5th Gen.
