Help belt snapped!

belt shouldnt snap if its oem or oem quality and fitted properly - my belt had done 100k+ b4 it was changed and it was at least 10 years old and had never been adjusted. so you might want to look for other problems like Mercutio said-just to be safe ;)

That's what I was thinking mate. It was an eBay box standard one but to be fair it looked brand new when it snapped.
The AA bloke said all the pulleys look fine, my local mechanic said he's had a few snap on other cars. Might of just been a weak one.

thats good news :) but spend a bit more and get oem or oem quality your only talking a few quid difference - Gates is a decent brand if you cant get oem. Most motor factors stock Gates belts.

Cheers bud. Sounds promising. Ill have to wait and see what my mechanic orders in. I showed him my "veco" belt and he looked at me in disgust and threw it in the scrap pile.
