Type S intake for the win every time 8-)
..and I still forgot to take a photo.

That's right, no resonator box, it was in the way of my Wings West bumper.. I didn't have any trouble fitting the 5th gen air box in my 4th though, it just dropped straight in.

@wurlycorner, are you still interested in buying my Apexi induction pipe? If so I'll clean it up and take a couple of pics of it for you.

Sounds good mate. I've been thinking of the type s pipe.. But for me I like the look of an dater market kit in the engine bay.

And apparently tests were done and the type s only made 2hp peak difference and the aem v2 made 1hp peak. I could live with the 1 difference, for the look lol.

I think if you already have the AEM v2 then the Type-S swap isn't necessary.. however, if you only have a cheap-o air intake then this is a definite upgrade.

..and @mills is selling one for £100 :D

Cool all it's something to think of.. But as I said I'm not a fan of the oem look with filters I like the after market metal piped filters. So am learning towards the v2.

Way I look at it, how much did Honda put into making the type-s/a8 intake the best it can be v's what aem put into there's, im 99.9% sure Honda will have put a lot more money into it than aem ever did. You then consider how much you can pick up a decent type-s/a8 intake for nowadays (usually £100 or thereabouts) against the cost most aem's go for and the Honda intake is best bang for buck intake around.

I agree mate. Honda no doubt spent a lot getting the best it can out of the type s. It's just down to personal choice on looks for me really. If the results showed a gain of 5or 10 hp difference then that would obviously change things  but e all know any induction kit will never ever achieve this. So for a 1hp difference that would won't notice I'd pick the better looking item. For me :)
