The M2P4/U2Q7 has a shorter 5th gear. The last number in the line is the final drive ratio

Just regurgitation of info I have picked up over the years plus the jobby you learn when you pretty much rebuild a Prelude

Haha cheers. He now thinks theres a lsd been put into his m2p4 because it looks as if its been opened before. Whats the surest way to tell?

IS the gearbox installed and fitted to the car? If so you can jack both sides of the car up and spin one wheel, if the other wheel spins the same way, you have an LSD.

I personally don't know if it is 100% fact as I have not tried it, I have never needed to, but I believe it.

Or you could find a bit of grass next to tarmac. With one wheel on the grass accelerate quickly. If you only spin the wheel on the grass you don't have an LSD

Will it make any difference that my car is the 185 bhp?
Like it wont be expecting more power where there isnt any and drop out of tec all the time
