You could do it with a fair amount of accuracy with a bit of string. Circle the outer edge with a piece of string, measure the string and you have the circumference. the prelude cv joint has a plastic ring on it that takes it from 60mm to 64mm - possibly
cv joint that i bought has 64mm dia on the spec - thats why i went for it as i know the 64.1mm is the hub dia
Circumference divided by 3.14 = diameter
It will be interesting to see what the differences are, if any.
