Yeah I'll drop them a little email tomorrow. May go for a 50w next time. The area I've moved to now the car has lots of hills and cold starts so its certainly getting a work out.

It still gets upto 80psi under full load so dont think there is a pressure leak.

check all around your vtec solenoid and end cap for a leak mate! get your fingers right in there as it may not be too obvious just by looking!

Would that cause such drop in pressure tho? It never leaves any puddles.

yeah mine never left puddles either, just tiny drops on my gearbox, its the sort of leak that only happens when the oil pressure (should) build up!

have you got a copper washer on your sump?

sometimes is best to replace with a new 1

they tend to come off when changing oil and people forget to put 1 on....

if not your oil maybe pissing through there

foaming from either mixing oils
or too much oil can also be a cause of low pressure

if the bubbles go up the strainer then it will read as low

the strainer could be blocked

engine flush running it through and then draining, new filter and fresh oil should clear blocked strainer and oil gallery

Mobil1 0-40w, paw said it would be fine or could go for a 50, i did wonder about the gauge but seems fine when the pressure is up, which bit do you want a picture of? Havent checked the sender but was new in with gauge and the values seem pretty consistant. Oil, change 500 after rebuild when pump went, then 500 after pump was replaced and has done 4500 since with a new filter everytime

Oils arent mixed, took all oil out to see how much was there and it was 5L. I got 4L of the, mobil1 still so may get an extra L and do a change now. The get some thicker oil next time
