Loudness?

im too old to get a ticket for loudness but i did when i were a lad (goes all misy eyed) this was for noisy expansion chambers on my collection of rd-lcs (ahh good times, the smells and sounds of the 2 stroke fills the air) all in the past now as there prety much outlawd stupid legislation
now i do know there is a well defined limit and test for roadside 2 stroke testing (or at least there was)

now look whats happend, gotten myself mad. knew i shouldnt have gone down memory lane

I measured my SiR at 99dB. And you know how loud that was

I also measured the old white Civic at Knockhill last year and even that was only 102dB. No way you will be louder than that

ah the gammas, my partner in crime at the time had a yamagama, it was an rg250 with a 350ypvs engine in. dynod at 97bhp kept blowing up mind, but the motors are so simple happy days, no wives g/f, disposable income, nothing to worry about (still living with parents) having a right laugh. then life comes along and kicks you up the arse.

The lude is 89db at 4.5k rpm.

Thats what mine read at Donington at the wkend before going on the track - then i got thrown off 6 laps later for being too loud cos of their circuit wide noise detectors bloody wimpy track

Does playing exhaust sounds through the audio count. If so i could probably reach 110db.
