Thanks, that should be my bed time read tonight. I will not do it myself but still interested in reading about it.Vtecmec wrote:Here is a guide for the manual tensioner conversion.

Re: Timing belt change
I was thinking of attempting to do mine but thought its not worth it if i do something wrong hence going to PAW to get it done.I wish I knew how to do it. Life would be so much simpler.
I will collect all the parts this week and then see what I'm doing next week, maybe head down to PAW or some where local.

I got my main belt from Honda as they are as cheap as the local motorfactors. Prob cheaper than Gates as well.
I used a motorquip balance belt.
Bought a genuine Honda manual tensioner kit from ebay
Motorquip PAS and Alt belts.
Some random cheap water pump, as I am not paying £90ex VAT from Honda
Also look into changing your oil seals while its all apart, my camshaft seals where leaking so I changed those, £6 each from Honda.
You don't want to do it yourself, its a pain, if I wasn't so tight I would have paid someone to do it.
Take a look at my project thread on here to see what it entails(Ben's Dirty Jap)
