Speedo will always over-read if you're using factory wheel sizes etc. And yeah, phone GPS is the same as any other GPS, all from the same satellite network.

so why does mine read slower (speedo) with std wheels @ 60 (speedo speed) gps says 63mph @ slower speeds (30mph) its only 1mph difference so not bothered, if i had larger wheels then it would make sense. most speedos read over by around 5% is mine dodgy saying that though mine is an import could it be possible that someone changed the dial backs? goes upto 120mph always thought these dial backs were added after import.

Ah - yeah, it's possible it's off if there has been something like that done. Standard UKDM dials deffo read under though.

that makes sense for my gearbox calcalator, i had to use my gps to get the auto to read the same as the calculator over 70mph hey pob solved. this may also be why some were resistant or sceptical to my calculator.
does anyone happen to know if the original dials still reside behind the uk clock face?

Not sure man, but you should be able to simply swap in a set of UKDM dials if you can source them.

I wouldn't think so, as it should read the same UKDM or JDM, that part of the dial face should stay the same.
