To go off an tangent. I know fook all about FI but I do know about increased power and abuse that comes along with it. Take your £5k for engine mods and find another £5k for mods to allow to use all that power. Gearbox, LSD, performance clutch, suspension, engine mounts, traction bars, brakes, tyres and so on. And factor in the inevitable replacement driveshafts ;) Anyone chasing power will need to address some of these points to get reliability and usability.

I am on my 4th set of OEM driveshafts, I mashed the inner CV bearings on the first two sets and obliterated the outer CV joint on the 3rd set
^^^^^^^This exactly and I can honestly say the money I have put in to my build has so far been worth it the smile it puts on my face  oh and I still haven't got coilovers, bigger brakes, updated Arbs, the list goes on

Well maybe ill put it up for a vote then

Prelude VTI (185 bhp) and build a r33 gtst skyline at the workshop
or
prelude vti (185 bhp) turbo with 144k on the clock
or
prelude type s (200 bhp) turbo built and fitted at workshop

at the minute im more leaning towards sensible mods on the vti and get the skyline
would probably cost cheaper and cant see it costing massive amounts to get it around 500bhp

no point with a type s turbo build buddy the atts will mean you have to go piggyback and the atts wont take higher power outputs

if it was me I would get a lude whichever one you like the look of put some cheap mods on it while you build the liner

My 4G that I had (import BB4 with 2ws and no sunroof) with induction kit and full ss exhaust system easily trounced my mates 98 spec dc2 import and would sit with ep3s all day long...just thought I'd mention that...

In my experience all Honda's are broadly around the same performance level. Be it CTR, ITR, ATR or Lude. If you are spanking another Honda I would say that the guy in the other car is probably a jobby driver ;)

Dc2s are 190 bio or there abouts.

H22 have more torque but are all about the same performance wise.
