I have a Kaaz not a Quaife ;)

My diff bearings didnt get changed as they apparently looked fine.
yep id forgotten you had a Kaaz diff

the guy who is doing the build on the @newkid gearbox said it was best to replace the bearings - no doubt due to the fact that they probably have done 100,000miles+ - maybe your bearings were replaced on your box already ;)

Rare visit here so apologies for late response to the tag.

As already been mentioned, H series gearboxes use taper roller diff bearings - each side of the diff are a different size.
I've seen M-factory H series diffs supplied "with bearings" option from Tegiwa (assume thats where it came from) before with incorrect bearings supplied....This is down to them not knowing the box is different from B series and not and MF mistake.

Anyway, I only ever use Honda OEM diff bearings (koyo and ntn are Honda suppliers) and if renewing the diff you really should always renew the bearings.
It is essential that diff preload is accurately checked and setup correctly with proper shimming of the bearings or the diff can end up loose which can then allow it to foul the case under heavy load or be too tight causing excess drag in the box, premature bearing wear and crown gear and fd pinion.
