well the old girl lives again
got the car back on saturday evening, after getting all the stuff for it as mentioned previously,i had to get a new crankshaft pulley key and also a replacement crank pulley, the other one was ovalled at the face apparantly
engine sounds a lot quieter, probably because of the valve clearances getting adjusted, although Gerry said they were only two thou' off perfect ,so still within tolerance i think. He also said the engine was in real good shape for 120,000 miles.
he also fixed my drokk up on the power steering.when i was putting the car on the wagon with the winch,i couldnt see the tow eye
after looking around i spotted a metal hook so i attached the winch and started pulling the car onto the truck.
it moved about three feet and then proceeded to rip off the power steering pipe

(deserving of a double face palm)
still you live and learn
anyway engine should be good for another few years and plenty
so its swallowed a good amount of cash,so no more goodies for it anytime soon.
