a quick update on proceedings....

received today....
2 x camshaft seals
2 x balance shaft seals(1 courtesy of Vanzep)
1 x crankshaft seal
1 x timing belt
1 x balancer belt
1 x automatic tensioner
3 x honda coolant
1 x water pump
and all for a bargain £282.72 :cry:

so tomorrow afternoon its off to gerry at Performancetek 8-)

in the mean time while it was off the car....

That rocker is very bling. Love it and makes me sorely tempted to do mine!
What paints did you use to do that?

well the old girl lives again :lol:

got the car back on saturday evening,after getting all the stuff for it as mentioned previously,i had to get a new crankshaft pulley key and also a replacement crank pulley,the other one was ovalled at the face apparantly :?

engine sounds a lot quieter,probably because of the valve clearances getting adjusted,although Gerry said they were only two thou' off perfect ,so still within tolerance i think.He also said the engine was in real good shape for 120,000 miles.

he also fixed my drokk up on the power steering.when i was putting the car on the wagon with the winch,i couldnt see the tow eye :roll:
after looking around i spotted a metal hook so i attached the winch and started pulling the car onto the truck.
it moved about three feet and then proceeded to rip off the power steering pipe :facepalm: :facepalm: (deserving of a double face palm)
still you live and learn :lol: :lol:

anyway engine should be good for another few years and plenty :vtec:

so its swallowed a good amount of cash,so no more goodies for it anytime soon.
